However, many of today’s filtering solutions are software-based offerings that typically require installation on an existing cache, firewall or proxy server resulting in poor performance, resource constraints and network traffic jams due to shared server functionality. The 8e6 R3000 Internet Filter addresses these needs by providing a standalone server appliance dedicated to monitoring and filtering Internet access. This ensures stability, scalability and performance without compromising other server/network functions.

R3000G Internet Filter

The R3000G Internet Filter has been enhanced with a host of new features including an expanded database consisting of 90+ categories, Real-time Probes, X-Strikes and IM and P2P blocking just to name a few. Optimized as a 1U rack-mountable appliance with GigE-ready capability and enhanced system board features, it can support approximately 30,000 users per appliance.

R3000S Internet Filter

The R3000S is 8e6's flagship filtering appliance with GigE capability, additional memory and an SSL Accelerator card for increased Web-based authentication performance. Ideal for up to approximately 30,000 authenticated users.

R3000MSA Internet Filter

Targeted at environments of up to 2,500 users, the entry-level, smaller form factor R3000MSA filtering appliance meets the needs of the smaller business and schools while maintaining the feature-rich attributes found in the mainstream R3000.

R3000IR Internet Filter

Filtering and reporting all in a single box. Ideal for up to approximately 1,500 users per appliance. Available in a desktop form factor or a 1U rack-mountable appliance.
