iPhone and Android collection of attendance data and UKBA realtime alerts

GP Soft using the iPhone and Android app known as Quickmark, now allows our customers to use their smartphones as attendance collection devices.

How it works?

• School purchases either iPhone (3G or 4), or Android handsets. We recommend the HTC Wildfire available on PAYG at £140.00 from major stockists.
• Connect phone to either WIFI or 3G.
• Download and install the Quickmark application through the android market or itunes.
• Configure the app with the help of GP Soft.
• Either have a member of staff visit the classrooms and take attendance by scanning the student card barcode, or distribute the devices to the teachers.
• When the card is scanned by the device EduPro will insert the attendance data for the student and give back the user a list of warnings. Warnings may include whether the student has a current visa or whether the student has attended within the last 10 days.
• For those schools who prefer a trust system where students swipe their own cards, we can deploy fixed Android tablets instead, using the front camera to scan cards.
